EagleLand 2: A playground that includes ALL

Introducing EagleLand 2
A playground that includes ALL

Update: Officially Now Open!

Students from Mrs. Culler’s past third-grade class, now fifth-graders, who presented at the Bellbrook Lions Club’s “Shark Tank” with their winning idea of an inclusive playground, posing at the grand opening of EagleLand 2 – a playground for ALL.

Thank you to these students, community members and donators for helping make this dream become a reality. For more information on the playground and how to donate, continue reading below!

The 3rd Grade Student Council at Bellbrook-Sugarcreek Schools stepped up to the plate for their classmates and made a bold proposal in the Shark Tank. During the first ever Bellbrook Shark Tank Event, held by the Bellbrook Lions Club, the Lion Sharks listened to four grand proposals. There were many deals pitched, including ones from Bellbrook-Sugarcreek Park District and the City of Bellbrook. Ultimately the deal the Lion Sharks shook on was that of the 3rd grade student council.

Their Pitch was the establishment of a monstrous inclusive playground structure that all kids can play on. They estimated a cost of $300,000. The Bellbrook Lions Club has dedicated $150,000 to the project and volunteered to manage project construction, through a public-private partnership. The Bellbrook Lions and the now 4th graders are now partnering to raise an additional $150,000 or more, to complete the project. This is where private and corporate members of the community can get involved.

about how they are making a difference (get your tissues handy).

Any & all donations are accepted! For more information, see below or contact Bellbrook Lion Ernie Havens at 937-776-3784.

The original EagleLand was a grand playground that holds a place in the hearts of many Bellbrook residents. For this reason, the project will be named EagleLand 2. It will be bigger and better than the original, and inclusive to all children in the community, making even more great childhood memories to last a lifetime.
